Over the past few decades pornography has become increasingly more ubiquitous. Facilitated by the Internet, there are now more people involved in the adult entertainment industry than ever before. This explosion of consumers and producers has led to an extraordinary segmentation of the porn market Almost every imaginable niche, fetish, and sex act can now be found in porn. What follows are 7 of the most unique porn stars I’ve found either because of who they are, or the lives they have led. 1. Buck Angel

At first glance you might think Buck Angel is just another butch looking male porn star, but upon further examination you would realize that there is something that sets Buck apart from other male porn stars. Buck Angel was born a woman. He is a Female To Male Transsexual and is the worlds only Transsexual Man (Female to Male) Adult Film Star. He currently has a distribution deal with Avalon Enterprises, and won “Transsexual Performer of the Year” at the 2007 AVN Awards, the first female to male to do so.

As if this weren’t extraordinary enough, Buck Angel has a strange connection to Larry Wachowski, one of the famed Wachoswski brothers responsible for The Matrix Trilogy.

According to reports, in 2001 Larry Wachowski became involved with Mistress Ilsa Strix, a dominatrix at the Dungeon, a West Hollywood Club. Ilsa was at that time married to Buck Angel. According to Buck, he witnessed Wachowski at the club stating:

“I saw him dressed in panties, nylons and a wig, with full-blown makeup.”

Over the next few years, Buck Angels wife Mistress Ilsa Strix began to spend more and more time with Larry Wachowski, apparently aiding and encouraging his crossdressing.

Infatuated with the dominatrix, Larry sent Ilsa elaborate bouquets of flowers and bought her books, clothes and shoes. In return Ilsa would give Larry free bondage sessions that often lasted overnight, foregoing thousands in income and raising Buck Angels suspicions. According to reports, Ilsa was even flown out to the two ‘Matrix’ sequels, for weeks at a time.

Eventually Buck Angel and Ilsa Strix called it quits over the increasingly obvious infidelity.

2. Shigeo Tokuda

Proving that advanced age and deteriorating looks can’t keep a good man down, 74 year old Shigeo Tokuda has the distinct notoriety of being one of the oldest active porn stars. According to Tokuda, it all started after he retired. As a former travel agent, he was used to working a regular 9-5.  Now, Tokuda is enjoying his retirement more than he ever thought he would. Tokuda works for Ruby Productions, a specialty porn producer that works primarily with older porn actors.

The company fell into the niche genre accidentally. They began by selling adult videos featuring people in their 30′s, after noticing they sold better than videos with young actors. From there they tried actors in their 40′s, which sold even better. Now, they are using actors in their 50′s, 60′s, and now even 70′s, catering to an elderly audience that is much bigger than anyone thought.

Tokuda says many of his friends are jealous, because hes in a job where he is valued, he hopes to continue his work until he’s 80 or older, giving it his all until the end.

3.Bridget Powers (Bridget the Midget)

Born in 1980 in Boise Idaho, Bridget Powers is 3 feet 9 inches tall. Bridget was discovered as a young adult in a goth nightclub by a man who was working as a make-up artist for a gothic vampire adult movie. She was quickly enveloped by the adult movie world and has since appeared in over 65 original films including :

Unfortunately for the dwarf fetishists out there, Bridget Powers quit the adult film industry for a variety of reasons, citing fear of disease as a major one, although quotes like this hint at other issues:

4. Criminal Gay Porn Twins with Superpowers

Keyontyli and Taleon Goffney are twin brothers who have performed in many hardcore gay films. As if being twins in gay porn didn’t make them unique enough, the brothers are  also career criminals. In February 2008, they were arrested by authorities as suspects in more than a dozen burglaries committed over the previous 18 months. The twins had been robbing houses by breaking in through the rooftops of businesses.

This was not the first arrest for Taleon. In 2006 he was arrested on drug charges. While still handcuffed in the back of a squad car, Taleon smashed out the rear window by head butting it. He then dove through the window and its steel outer frame (causing $1,800 in damages). After landing on his face, Taleon managed to get up and outrun police to a nearby pond. Still handcuffed, cops say he:

“Swam across like Flipper, Taunting the officers by saying ‘You’ll never catch me.’”

5. The Dahm Triplets

Identical Twins in porn may be unusual but how about identical triplets? Statistically, the likelyhood of having identical triplets naturally is around 1 in 200 Million. Given this, you can imagine how unlikely it is to have identical triplets who decide to go into adult film. Lucky for us, the Dahm Triplets did just that.

Nicole, Erica and Jaclyn Dahm, born in 1977 are actually the second set of triplets to be featured in Playboy. They were featured in several issue  and appeared on the cover of June 1999 Playboy Australia. All three have had breast implant surgery.

As an added twist, in 2006, Erica Dahm married Jay McGraw, the son of Phil McGraw, better known as TV’s Dr. Phil.

6. Anna Ilona Staller

Anna Ilona Staller, a Hungarian-born Italian Adult film star who goes by the stage name Cocciolina, is the first hardcore adult video performer in the world to be elected to a democratic parliament.

Staller’s porn career began in 1973 after meeting pornographer Riccardo Schicchi, who helped her to gain success with her radio program “Volez-vous choucher avec moi?” Two years later she began starring in films. In 1978 she appeared on the Italian program “C’era Due Volte” and was the first woman to show her bare breasts on Italian television. She went on to perform in many adult films including one with the famed US star John Holmes, who later died of AIDS. She also appeared in several international Playboy editions including Argentina’s March 1988 edition, Hungary’s June 2005 edition, and Mexico’s September 2005 edition.

Staller began her political career in 1979 as a candidate to the Italian Parliament. She lost, but  was eventually elected to the Italian Parliament in 1987 with over 20,000 votes, representing the Lazio district of Rome.

7. Eric Linden

Eric Linden is one of my personal hero’s for causing a hilarious debacle for one of the most ridiculous religious establishments in the country.  Eric Linden is an  actor and stuntman who was hired to play Adam in a video produced for the Creationist Museum in Kentucky. Adam however had a secret.  In his private life he was involved  and featured in several adult websites including www.bedroomacrobats.com (now defunct) a website promoting free love,  where he appeared nude.  When the Creationism Museum learned of Linden’s past, the Creation Museum in Kentucky pulled the video in which he appears.

“We are currently investigating the veracity of these serious claims of his participation in projects that don’t align with the biblical standards and moral code upon which the ministry was founded,” a spokesman for Answers in Genesis, which built the newly opened museum, said in a written statement to AP.
