Example: Marina Orlova
Her name is Marina Orlova, she’s 27 and she’s a philologist, someone who studies linguistics and etymology. She’s has degrees in Russian Language and World Literature Specializing in Philology and the Teaching of English Language Specializing in Philology. In mid 2007 she launched her YouTube channel HotForWords, where she takes requests from YouTube viewers for words to discuss, and she releases 5-7 videos each week discussing the origins of these words, in a fun and playful manner. Marina is the #1 Guru on YouTube, she’s consistently the most watched channel on ALL of YouTube as well – just ahead of Universal Music Group and the NBA, her videos are seen over five million times each week (She is currently at 131,600,356 video views on YouTube alone and counting. 2. The Gamer Geek
Example: The Frag Dolls
The Frag Dolls are a group of professional girl gamers that work and are sponsored by Ubisoft to promote and compete in Ubisoft titles. The Frag Dolls fulfill many functions for Ubisoft, from attending industry events to playing competitively, both online and offline. Leveraging their media presence, the team members have acted as ambassadors of competitive gaming, touring with the Major League Gaming console professional circuit in the 2005 season as well as the 2007 season. In December 2006, they placed first in the Rainbow Six: Vegas tournament at CPL (Cyberathlete Professional League), making them the first all female team to win a pro circuit tournament.

4. The Mythbusting Geek
Example: Kari Byron
Kari Byron is one sexy Mythbusting Geek, and I think we can all agree the show wouldn’t be the same without her. Born in 1974, Kari studied film and sculpture at San Francisco State University, graduating magna cum laude in May 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Sculpture. She’s very well traveled, having backpacked around the world, mostly in South Asia, including the Himalayas. On her first day as a paid employee, she was asked by Jamie and MythBusters producer Peter Rees to help out with the “vacuum plane toilet” myth, and she was asked to model her buttocks for a cast: a job which would later have her comment (jokingly) that she was hired “for her butt”.

5. The Food Geek

Padma Lakshmi, Born September 1, 1970 is an Indian American cookbook author, actress, and former model who has described herself as the first well-known model from India. She’s known best as the host of the popular “Top Chef” program on the Bravo network. She’s also the author of several cookbooks, and was married briefly to the famed Salman Rushdie. Padma’s sweet demeanor, articulate palate, and beautiful, sexy presence have helped to make Top Chef one of the highest rated programs on cable television.

Danica McKellar. Sure, Danica is the actress who we remember watching in The Wonder Years, but she grew up, got a math degree and has even helped prove her own math theorem – the Chayes-McKellar-Winn Theorem. That’s an honor that few mathematicians can claim, and certainly none as beautiful as Danica.

7. The Rocket Science Geek
Example: Summer Williams
Summer Williams is a Houston Texans cheerleader… and a NASA rocket scientist.The 25-year-old aerospace engineer is an assistant project manager at the Jacobs Engineering Group, working on NASA’s International Space Station. Her career goal is to become the CEO of an aerospace company. She tried out for the Texans on a dare, and is now a 3rd year veteran of the cheerleading squad.

8. The Sports Geek
Example: Melissa Stark
Born November 11, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland Melissa Stark is an American television personality with NBC, which she joined in 2005, primarily in news and sports anchor positions at its MSNBC subsidiary. She has also been a correspondent for NBC’s Today show. She anchored MSNBC’s weekday afternoon coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Prior to NBC, she was best known for her three-year stint as a sideline reporter for Monday Night Football. She has also worked as a reporter for fellow Disney entity ESPN. Melissa is known for her combination of in depth sports knowledge and stunning beauty, making her a sports geeks dream come true.

9. The Renaissance Fair Geek
The Renaissance Fair is one of the great Geek Meccas, with a whiff of the occult, a flash of danger and a hint of the erotic, the sexy women you find here are among geekdoms hottest. Although elusive, the Ren Fair Sexy Geek certainly is a sight to behold. So if you have never been to a Renaissance Fair, go get a suit of armor and witness the sexy geek dames and ladies of the past. Be warned though, You may go home wishing that Bustiers and Corsets were still the norm as they were then.

10. The News Geek

Amy Holmes is a CNN political contributor and conservative commentator. She appears regularly on The Situation Room and across all networks, including the network’s prime-time line-up in programs such as Larry King Live and Anderson Cooper 360º. Prior to joining CNN, Holmes served as senior speechwriter to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist. from May 2003 to July 2006, writing on topics ranging from economic and energy policy to judicial nominations and the Iraq war. Before that she worked for the CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service, which oversees AmeriCorps, and helped build the non-profit Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) as economic project director and campus project director.
