In the porn industry, plastic surgery is essentially a job requirement.  Porn stars go to great lengths to make themselves the envy of the industry and to grab the attention of fans.  In a business where perfect features are crucial to survive; these unfortunate few might have to think of a different line of work. The following are tales of plastic surgeries gone wrong:

1. Jenna Jameson’s Botched Vagina

In March of 2007, retired porn princess, Jenna Jameson went into hiding after reportedly being “unhappy” about a recent vaginoplasty. A vaginoplastly is exactly as it sounds; a vaginal surgery that is meant to reconstruct the vagina. After years in the industry, Jenna apparently wanted to get her lady-parts as tight as her Botoxed face.

A major movie studio was interested in turning the porn star’s best-selling book “How to Make Love Like a Porn Star” into a movie. As a result of  going into hiding, Jenna missed the meetings with the studio and her potential movie deal was dropped. People began to get suspicious, after Jenna Jameson missed various other meetings and appearances, sources close to Jenna released this statement:

“She underwent a vaginoplasty at a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, and she is very unhappy. She has decided to hole up and not speak to anybody. The producers are about to pull the plug on the movie.”

There is speculation that her vagina is so badly damaged that even the most skilled plastic surgeons aren’t capable of correcting the damage caused by years of abuse. Five months later Jenna, when under the knife again to remove her implants. In addition to her vaginoplasty and breast augmentations, Jenna has also enhanced her lips. Additionally, it’s suspected that she has had body contouring and various facial procedures.

2. Tabitha Stevens the “Plastic Surgery Junkie”

Tabitha Stevens has been a popular figure in the porn industry for more than a decade and has appeared in over two hundred films. In addition to numerous appearances on The Howard Stern Show, she is also a regular on plastic surgery reality-show, Dr. 90210. Since 2004, Dr. 90210 has documented Tabitha’s procedures.  It is no surprise that Tabitha Stevens is a self-proclaimed “Plastic Surgery Junkie”. Her lists of surgeries are even listed on her official website. Her surgeries include:

• 6 boob jobs
• 3 nose jobs
• 2 cheek implants
• 1 under the nose implant
• 1 chin implant
• 1 nose implant
• 1 fat transfer from her right leg to her entire face
• 1 removal of fat deposit bands behind her thighs
• Botox every 4 to 6 months
• Restalyne injections to her lips every 6 months
• Restalyne injections to her smile lines every 6 months
• Anal bleaching

Throughout her many years in the industry, her face has transformed several times. Even though she removed her facial implants and publically announced that she will never alter her face again, Tabitha continues to get plastic surgery done to her face.

3. Maxi Mounds’ Mountains

If big boobs are a job requirement for the porn industry, Maxi Mounds is what you would call over qualified. This one-time ballerina currently holds the title of “World’s Largest Augmented Breast” according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Unlike the usual silicone or saline implants, Maxi has polypropylene string breast implants. This means that these implants irritate the breast tissue, which causes her breast tissue to produce excess fluid, thus causing her breasts to continuously grow (this procedure is now banned in the U.S). As of 2005, her bra size is a size 42M and her breasts weigh a whopping 40 pounds.

In addition to appearing in several softcore and hardcore videos, and being a popular stripper, is also a published author, writing the book “The Maxi Mounds Guide To The World Of Exotic Dancing”.

4. The Artist Formally Known as Lex Baldwin

Lex Baldwin was a popular gay porn star in the 1990s. After years in gay porn, he decided to leave the gay porn industry after reportedly being pressured to leave by his family. Lex then decided to venture into straight porn instead, using the name Talon. Re-emerging as Talon, it was obvious that he’d had some facial surgery. It is suspected that Lex underwent rhinoplasty, a browlift, and botox. Oddly enough, these surgeries gave Lex a more feminine look.

5. Amber Peach’s Donated Boobs

In 2007, rising porn star Amber Peach launched her own philanthropic website,  www.buyapornstarboobs.com in an attempt to fundraise for her breast implants. On her site, she instructs donors to send all donations to an address in California and states,

“Currently, I’m on a quest to acquire breast implants. I genuinely feel they would enhance my career and increase my status (not to mention bookings!) in the porn industry”.

According to Amber, she only needed an additional $5000. Amber’s fundraising efforts gained her national media attention, but unfortunately, this story has a tragic ending. Amber Peach never got her sought-after boob job. In addition, her 15 minutes of fame didn’t last long and she faded into porn star obscurity. There are no reports as to whether she decided not to get the surgery or whether she was unable to raise the funds.
